5 Tips on BPM - Business Process Management

  1. Business Process Management (BPM) or “workflow” should be integral to your business system, not an add-on. Business Processes are your quality systems. The benefits of BPM cannot be maximised if you have separate systems for Accounting, Quoting, Service, and Retail and POS.
  2. BPM shouldn’t hinder the way you do business. BPM helps identify bottlenecks in the processes in your business. Is your BPM being compromised by your business system? Does it even allow for it?
  3. Good customer service should be transparent to the customer. BPM delivers better customer service. Customers don’t see the process management, they only see the benefits in service it brings.
  4. Take a CRITICAL look at your processes. Constantly evolve, develop and improve processes by monitoring and reviewing.
  5. Involve Staff. Talk to all your people on the floor, they already know what is right and what is wrong with your processes – they live with them everyday.
